JDU Security Service Ltd (“JDU”, “we”, “us”) is a private security company registered in Scotland, trading from 57 Union Street, Glasgow, G1 3RB. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

• Enquiry form data — your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message, when you submit our contact form.
• Direct communications — details you provide when you call, email or otherwise contact us.
• Technical data — with your consent, anonymised analytics data such as pages visited, device type and browser (see our Cookie Policy).

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
• To deliver and manage security services you contract with us — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To improve our website using aggregated analytics — lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
• To comply with legal obligations, including SIA licensing and record-keeping requirements — lawful basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example secure hosting and database providers), and where required by law or regulators such as the Security Industry Authority. All providers are bound by data-processing agreements.

Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or adequacy regulations.

Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the contract plus 6 years, in line with UK limitation periods and accounting rules. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s settings (a maximum of 26 months).

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted staff access, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.

We may update this policy periodically. The “last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
